A new Energy plant was determined to be the first of the five “Primary Projects” identified in the Master Plan. An survey of the existing campus conditions, materials, and a precedent study of similar energy plants was done to inform the development of four schematic design options.

Considerations for the Material study included respecting the existing architectural language of the campus, maximizing natural light, screening unsightly equipment, and budget.
