Jessica has served as a professional advisor for the Georgia Institute of Technology’s Flourishing Communities collaborative since the Fall 2020 semester. Founded by Director, Julie Kim, and Managing Director, Ennis Parker, Flourishing Communities collaborative is a multidisciplinary academic lab, housed within the college of design, that is committed to community engagement and social outreach. Jessica has played in integral role in the continued success of the program, not only by volunteering her time and expertise, but by assisting with funding and grant applications. In 2022, Flourishing Communities Collaborative’s proposal, Westside Neighborhood – English Avenue: Building a Sustainable Community through Design and Technology, was awarded $180,000 from the New America’s Public Interest Technology University Network, the largest PIT-UN grant awarded to Georgia Tech that year.
